How to Turn Off Data Usage Warnings on Your Android?

If you don’t have the luxury of unlimited data usage, the apps you love will go through your data plan’s cap like there’s no tomorrow. Once you approach your data-usage limit, you will be greeted every so often by a reminder that just won’t go away: an orange triangle that’s impossible to ignore. Clicking on it will only display data statistics. Luckily, Android has data-restricting settings you can tweak so your phone warns you when you’re near your monthly data allotment, and keep the pesky orange triangle at bay.

1
Navigate to your phone’s settings. On your Home screen, pull down the notification bar, go to "Menu," and then to "Settings."

2
Tap on “Data Usage. Under "Settings," it is usually the third option from the top, usually under "Wireless & Networks." This is the screen where you can monitor the amount of data usage you have incurred.

3
Increase the warning threshold. Doing so resets the data limit. The warning threshold is represented by an orange warning bar. At the "Settings" screen, just drag and peg the bar to an amount that is higher than the data you’ve already used or even to the limit you want. This should effectively stop data-usage warnings from appearing on your notification bar.

4
Turn off mobile data. This is entirely optional. If you want to, you can do so by turning off the switch at the top.
